The Savage Axis Extended Length Picatinny Rail Mount is a dedicated optic mount built specifically for the Savage Axis platform - now 1 inch longer with more forward extension that our previous version. The extra length allows for flexibility in optic placement. Optics can be positioned further forward, for more comfortable eye relief. Comes with both #6 and #8 screws for compatibility with both older and newer Savage Axis models. The Picatinny rail section installs directly to the factory mounting holes in the Savage Axis via the included set screws. The rail sections are compatible with both Picatinny and Weaver based rings and optics. Extended version is 8 inches in length with 19 rail slots (versus 7 inches or 16 rail slots for the standard version), the rail allows for flexible placement of your optic for optimum eye relief and cheek weldCrafted from lightweight 6061 grade aluminum.
